ToggleWhat Does It Mean To Get Happier?
It is true that life can be hard.
It is therefore not surprising at all that people sometimes regret the past, resent misfortune and get depressed.
However, it is still possible to get happier. Indeed, it can be easy to get happier.
We just have to recall the spiritual memories that we had in the past but decided to forget during our lives in the material realm.
In this post, I am going to describe the way to get happier.
I’ll also provide theoretical basis for the solution presented in this post.
Why Are There Hardships In Life?
It is of great importance that we first understand why suffering happens in the first place.
A concise answer is, we are experiencing hardships because we chose to encounter them.
Why? So that we can learn more about the cosmos and ourselves.
We are the spirits who decided to come to the Earth to experience lives of mortal human beings.
Hardships are presented to us, because we chose them as textbooks for our learning.
People who get betrayed by their best friends will learn about how betrayal feels.
People who fail at getting a job, get ill, face violence and many other unfortunate circumstances also will learn from them.
Actually, hardships are gifts by God, not punishment.
Hardships test us to see if we are eligible for greater responsibility and power.
If we pass the test, we get to the higher level, towards the highest point.
What Is The Highest Point?
The highest point is what is called Nirvana by Buddhists and Kingdom Of God by Christians.
The apex is very difficult to visualize with human cognition. It is basically the realm where multiple concepts exist simultaneously.
A great physical example would be wave-particle duality in quantum mechanics.
Quantum mechanics demolished our biased understanding of the world to embrace the fact that physical objects exhibit both wave-like and particle-like properties, depending on how they are measured.
Likewise, what we perceive as disparate in the material realm are, in the spiritual realm, different manifestations of the same entity.
You can also think of it this way: Rene Descartes said, “I think, therefore I am.”
This quote from Descartes means that when we start ignoring every single superficial trait of ourselves, only one thing remains: our existence.
While numerous traits are ephemeral in nature, existence is the only absolute entity that cannot be taken away from us.
A poor man can get rich. A cold weather can turn hot. A cube of ice can melt into water.
While most phenomena are subject to change, only one thing remains absolute and unchanged: our own existence.
This existence is the spirit.
Conclusion
So the conclusion of this post is quite simple.
We can become happier if we decide to become happier.
Hardships are gifts that stimulate growth, not punishment.
We are eternal spirits temporarily experiencing the material realm.
Therefore, there is nothing to fear. We just need to experience what we are experiencing.
